Back in 2015 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I was already seasoned pediatric Physical Therapist treating head turning preferences, flat heads, birth injuries, and more. From the moment she was born she had difficulty latching. I had cracked nipples, a screaming gassy baby who never slept, and a husband who didn't know how to help. I was gaslighted by one doctor after another who all told me my baby was "perfectly healthy because she was gaining weight" despite having a significant number of symptoms of someone with tethered oral tissues. At that time, there were NO courses out on intraoral evaluation and treatment for physical therapists. I finally hired one more IBCLC out of desperation and she responded immediately with music to my ears "I can tell just from the paperwork you filled out, your baby likely has a tongue tie". THANK YOU! Someone who finally understood that common doesn't equal normal! Long story short, I vowed never to let anyone sit in my shoes again. I've dedicated my entire practice since that day to helping babies feed, move, and sleep better. As one of the OGs in the field I have whittled down thousands of hours worth of training into 5 well thought out videos that can help a parent assess their own baby from head to toe, to become a fierce advocate. No one deserves to be gaslit. Parents know their baby's best.
